Drip Marketing
Our Drip Marketing System is the best way to keep your members engaged with your organization. Drip Marketing campaigns are basically a set of emails on a timeline. When an event occurs for a member (such as signing up or renewing) the member will automatically start their Drip Marketing Campaign.
Drip Marketing Main Page
From your Administrative links, click the one labeled Drip Marketing. The drip marketing page has a table containing all of your current Drip Marketing Campaigns, and a link at the bottom of the page to start a new Campaign.
The table has a few helpful pieces of information
- Name - The name of the Drip Marketing Campaign
- Triggers - This column displays what a member must do in order to be added to the campaign.
- Functions - The edit pencil for changing details, The Delete X for removing a campaign, and the Scheduled clock. Clicking the Scheduled clock will show you a list of members already added to the campaign.
Creating a Campaign/Editing a Campaign
To edit a campaign, click the pencil next to its name. To create a new one, click the Add New Program link at the bottom.
The first page will be the Campaign Details
- Program Name - The name of the Drip Marketing Campaign. Popular Campaigns include things like Renewals or New Member emails.
- 'From' Name - A friendly name like "Jane Smith" or "Pastry Chefs of America"
- 'From' Email - The email address members should respond to. This is useful if your campaign raises questions of membership payments or status.
- Triggers - Select one or more triggers. These triggers are the events that will add a member to the Drip Marketing Campaign
- Effective Date Scheduling - This option is for renewals only, and triggers when a member's account is reset.
- Days Out - The number of days after the Trigger event that this email will be sent. If you're creating a renewal reminder campaign, set the Trigger to Member Join, and set the days out 335 to let your members know that their membership will expire one month before it does.
- Target
- A select box that determines who will receive the email.
- Member Only - Selecting this option means the email will only go to the member.
- Member Rep Only - Member Rep's refer to our staff members. If you have a member rep, you can use this option, otherwise it will do nothing.
- Member and Member Rep - Send to both the member and your member rep.
- Other (fill in Extra E-mail field below) - If you'd like to inform one of your staff members when someone is up for renewal, this is the option you would select.
- Extra E-Mail? - Only used when "Other" is selected from the Target option above.
- Use Wrapper - If selected, this email will use the same wrapper as your Broadcast Message System
- Email Subject - The subject of the email
- Email Message - Your email messages can be very powerful, containing dynamic data useful to the member who receives it. In the column to the left of the editor box, you'll see a list of replacement keys that look like ##MEMBER_FIRST_NAME## and ##MEMBER_PHONE##. These replacement keys can be copied and pasted into the message. When the message is sent, the replacement keys will be swapped out for their actual values, so "Dear ##MEMBER_FIRST_NAME## ##MEMBER_LAST_NAME##" would be sent as "Dear Jane Smith"
