There are several ways to enter content in the news manager, but they center around the idea of entering a short version first, then setting up the link (and content) to the long version via a 'more-info' link.
Publish Date
If set, your news item will publish at 12:01 AM on this date. If left blank, the news item will be published immediately.
Expiration Date
If set, your news item will be removed at 11:50 PM on this date.
Headline
The title of your news article
Short Description
This is what will appear in all of the initial news views, along with a link to the rest of the article if one exists. See the next section, Link to
Link To
This is where the bulk of your news article will exists, and there are four options. In each option, other than the first labeled "Nothing(Listing Only)", you will resolve the option on the next page after pressing Continue

Link To
This is where the bulk of your news article will exists, and there are four options. In each option, other than the first labeled "Nothing(Listing Only)", you will resolve the option on the next page after pressing Continue
- Nothing (Listing Only) - Selecting this option means that the information entered in the Short Description is all of the information. With this option selected, pressing Continue at the bottom will complete the news posting.
- Specified URL - If you're posting an article that exists on another website, select this option to enter the URL to the article on the next page. Linking to other pages helps raise the SEO rankings of both sites, making this a stellar option.
- Enter News Story - If this option is selected, a full content-rich editor will be waiting for you on the next page where you can add links, images, and format the text.
- Choose file from file archive - If this option is selected, the next page will list all of the files currently in your file archive. If someone clicks the more info link from a news view, the visitor will have the option to download the file you've linked to.
Categories
If you've created any News Categories in the News Manager page, they will be available here. Selecting a category will tell the MMS to display that news item in any category-specific news views. You can select as many categories per news item as are necessary.
Thumbnail Image
Upload an image here to add flair to your news posting. The thumbnail image is fairly small and only accepts JPG or GIF files. For the ability to add larger, high-resolution photos, consider selecting the Enter News Story option in the Link To area.
